It's been a long year, but it seems only yesterday I was sending an E-card to someone telling her my new year's resolution for 2004 - a resolution about us.
Now it's only a few hours before 2005, and I find myself making that same resolution. I lost my way a bit, but I found the right path again, and I will do everything I can to stay on that path. For better or worse.
The year ahead will surely be tougher. There's no doubt, since a certain person is graduating... but what I experienced during the past year will surely help me get my act together and do the right thing.
The Top Ten Things that Defined 2004 For Me:
10. Pistons winning the NBA Title
- these guys showed that teamwork and sharing the basketball is still alive in the League.
9. The Trade to DocCom
- okay, it was more like being waived from PubCom then being taken by DocCom XD But I got to handle more stuff in terms of responsibility and hands-on work, from a member's perspective.
8. Geog1
- this class helped me in a lot of areas, and most of them don't even have to do with the curriculum ^^
7. Fumoffu
- damn. Fumoffu changed my life. :D
6. Lantern Parade and preparations
- When I was facing some serious problems, I used to just lay back and wallow in it. The LP is a marked achievement where I surprisingly managed to pitch in some work even when there were lots of stuff that needed to be attended to..
5. 1M Scam
- Right before I can think of #5, I got scammed in RO. A cool 1 million down the drain. I dunno. I got dazed. I really thought I saw it was slotted. Oh well. You live, you learn, and if you're rich enough in RO, you could let it slip. Happy New Year na lang sa scammer na yun.
4. The Bleeding
- This one's a secret. ^^ but it keeps me fearing that I could die anytime... so 'carpe diem' and all that, right?
3. The UP AME Anime Fair
- Okay, so I was utterly useless the entire day, but doing something so historic and momentous with such a great group of people is a memory I'll cherish forever.
2. The Silence
- Maybe no one would know what this is about, but it changed me more than any other event that happened in recent years. I believe it's helped me become a better person in the end, but at what cost? I promise I'll make up for all of this.
1. Summer
- I will always look back at summer, and at what I was able to achieve, and what I was able to do. Separation lies in the future, but the memories of summer will always be with me and remind me that I need to exert more effort and do what I have to do...
Huh. Well, that's it, I guess... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
